{"id":1464,"date":"2009-02-28T18:30:56","date_gmt":"2009-02-28T22:30:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ssgreenberg.name\/PoliticsBlog\/?p=1464"},"modified":"2009-02-28T20:07:45","modified_gmt":"2009-03-01T00:07:45","slug":"a-legacy-of-wealth-or-one-of-debt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ssgreenberg.name\/PoliticsBlog\/2009\/02\/28\/a-legacy-of-wealth-or-one-of-debt\/","title":{"rendered":"A Legacy of Wealth Or One Of Debt?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We keep hearing the story that it will take generations for our descendants to\u00a0 pay off\u00a0 the debt that our government is accruing to stimulate the economy.<\/p>\n<p>A question has occurred to me.\u00a0 At this very moment the legendary investor, Warren Buffet, is investing his money in some of the same places that our government is.\u00a0 If his track record is any indication, he will become even more fabulously wealthy because of these investments.\u00a0 If he wanted to leave this to his descendants, they would be taken care of for generations.<\/p>\n<p>Why, then, will the same actions by our government leave the taxpayer&#8217;s descendants deeply in debt? Why aren&#8217;t we asking how Warren Buffet&#8217;s descendants are going to pay off their debt?<\/p>\n<p>These are actually serious questions.\u00a0 If you start thinking about answering these questions, you will learn a lot.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans who claim to be masters of business, and many of them are in their private lives, know how to make money in private business, some even do it honestly.\u00a0 Somehow they forget everything they know when they try to run the government.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We keep hearing the story that it will take generations for our descendants to\u00a0 pay off\u00a0 the debt that our government is accruing to stimulate the economy.
