A <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rand.org\/pubs\/research_briefs\/RB9100\/RAND_RB9100.pdf\">study by the RAND Corporation<\/a><\/strong> found that \u201cVA patients were more likely to receive recommended care\u201d and \u201creceived consistently better care across the board, including screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow up.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Cruz isn\u2019t the only conservative to praise the program; <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/health\/2012\/01\/09\/400862\/romney-praises-government-run-health-care-for-veterans\/\">Mitt Romney<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/health\/2011\/12\/12\/387808\/newt-gingrich-praises-government-health-care\/\">Newt Gingrich<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/health\/2012\/01\/18\/406396\/rick-perry-highlights-support-for-government-health-care-in-south-carolina\/\">Rick Perry<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/health\/2012\/01\/20\/408125\/santorum-embraces-government-health-carefor-veterans\/\">Rick Santorum<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/health\/2011\/11\/14\/367394\/bachmann-obamacare-will-force-military-personnel-out-of-their-government-funded-health-system\/\">Michele Bachmann<\/a><\/strong> have all endorsed the government-run system. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div style=\"text-align:center\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/w62udf3AT-o?rel=0\" style=\"border:thick ridge #009900\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<pre>\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>Now I see the Tea Party Logic, they think that the military deserves the benefit of government supported health care, but the civilian population will lose their freedom if they get it.
