{"id":1519,"date":"2009-03-12T21:19:23","date_gmt":"2009-03-13T01:19:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ssgreenberg.name\/PoliticsBlog\/?p=1519"},"modified":"2009-03-12T22:05:04","modified_gmt":"2009-03-13T02:05:04","slug":"sturbridge-board-of-selectmen-debate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ssgreenberg.name\/PoliticsBlog\/2009\/03\/12\/sturbridge-board-of-selectmen-debate\/","title":{"rendered":"Sturbridge Board Of Selectmen Debate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <em>Town Common<\/em> newspaper facilitated a debate among the Sturbridge Board of Selectment candidates.\u00a0 It was broadcast live over the cable public access channel tonight, March 12, at 7:00PM.<\/p>\n<p>I want to record for our own reference in the this blog the conclusion that we will use in the election Monday, April 13.<\/p>\n<p>We think the two best candidates are <a title=\"James Ehrhard Campaign Web Site\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jamesehrhard.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>James Ehrhard<\/strong><\/a> and <a title=\"Thomas Creamer Web Site\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sturbridgepoliticalwatch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Thomas Creamer<\/strong><\/a>. Our third choice would be Priscilla Gimas. We would not choose Edward P. Goodwin.<\/p>\n<p>We think our top choices are more likely to get our town unstalled from its current malaise. It is tough to choose based on one debate.\u00a0 We treat the debate as our first chance to actually hear the candidates speak to us.\u00a0 This is now a good jumping off point for our further research into the positions, qualifications, and past history of these candidates.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Town Common<\/em> promises to have excerpts of the debate on <a title=\"Town Common Web Site\" href=\"http:\/\/towncommon.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>their blog site<\/strong><\/a> tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Town Common newspaper facilitated a debate among the Sturbridge Board of Selectment candidates.\u00a0 It was broadcast live over the cable public access channel tonight, March 12, at 7:00PM.
