These households face, as the Federal Reserve said last year, \u201clarge-scale financial strain.\u201d They\u2019ve been bypassed by the Fed\u2019s \u201cwealth effect.\u201d And with tighter lending standards, many of these folks won\u2019t be able to buy a new car.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If you are one of those people who may now be under water in your car loan, don&#8217;t say you haven&#8217;t be warned.\u00a0 Not there there is much you can do about it now.\u00a0 And not that you will be reading this blog post.\u00a0 However, the rest of us should take heed.\u00a0 Even if your finances are in perfectly good shape, you should remember that the collapse of 2009 affected us all.\u00a0 I wouldn&#8217;t be taking any expensive vacations to Florida right now.
