And then go to war on with it. That\u2019s what the Republicans did. \u201cVote yourself a farm\u201d worked for Lincoln; why not Democrats?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I have posted on this idea before.\u00a0 One example is in the previous post <a title=\"Previous post\" href=\"http:\/\/ssgreenberg.name\/PoliticsBlog\/2014\/12\/23\/u-s-economic-growth-soars-reaches-11-year-high\/\" target=\"_blank\">U.S. economic growth soars, reaches 11-year high<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I have been saying all along on this blog that the Democrats don\u2019t tout their accomplishments enough in the face of all the negativism from the Republicans.\u00a0 However, I was talking about real accomplishments that need the touting.\u00a0 You can\u2019t make this stuff up and think people will buy it.\u00a0 You have to tout real accomplishments that people can see.\u00a0 You can\u2019t sell them stuff that their own experience tells them is not true.<\/p>\n<p>If the Democrats continue to live in La La Land, they are never going to win majority positions in our government.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Naked Capitalism has the article DNC Report Says Blankety-Blank Democrats Need a \u201cNational Narrative Project.\u201d No, They Don\u2019t by Lambert Strether.
