This is an interview with Aaron Mat\u00e9 about his article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearinvestigations.com\/articles\/2019\/07\/05\/crowdstrikeout_muellers_own_report_undercuts_its_core_russia-meddling_claims.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">CrowdStrikeOut: Mueller\u2019s Own Report Undercuts Its Core Russia-Meddling Claims<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:center\">\n    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/52P7G7AHiDg\" style=\"border: thick ridge #009900;\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>In that article, Aaron Mat\u00e9 wrote the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nThe report presents this narrative with remarkable specificity: It describes in detail how GRU officers installed malware, leased U.S.-based computers, and used cryptocurrencies to carry out their hacking operation. The intelligence that caught the GRU hackers is portrayed as so invasive and precise that it even captured the keystrokes of individual Russian officers, including their use of search engines.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I had surmised that this would be the way to do it over the internet if over the internet were the way it was done.  In my previous post <a href=\"https:\/\/ssgreenberg.name\/PoliticsBlog\/2017\/11\/08\/evidence-shows-dnc-emails-downloaded-locally-nsa-whistleblower\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">\u2018Zero evidence\u2019 for claims Russia hacked DNC \u2013 NSA whistleblower<\/a>. I I added an April 2018 addendum that said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nThe VIPS experiments involved transfers of data from this side of the Atlantic to the other side of the Atlantic. There is no telling how many hops it required to make the trip. On the other hand, if the downloaders of the data used a receiving computer that was close to the DNC\u2019s computer, then the number of hops could have been minimized.
