\nAmericans are very good with a to-do list. We like to say, \u201cOkay, just tell us what to do and we can do it.\u201d We\u2019ve proven many times over that we have tremendous capacity for action once we know what it is we need to do.<\/p>\n

But this is not a moment where it\u2019s as simple as saying, \u201cLet\u2019s do this, and everything will be okay.\u201d Our challenges are too complicated, too large, and too numerous to be amenable to anyone\u2019s simple to-do list.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not more data that we need; it\u2019s more understanding that we need. It\u2019s not more power that we need; it\u2019s more wisdom that we need. It\u2019s not more technology that we need; it\u2019s more compassion that we need.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
