Approximately $65 billion of that reduction would be on-budget; other effects related to Social Security revenues and spending as well as spending by the U.S. Postal Service are classified as off-budget. In the estimate that was provided on December 19, the estimated budgetary impact was a net reduction in deficits of $132 billion, of which approximately $81 billion would be on-budget.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I have no idea yet whether the rest of the analysis is one I would like to hear or not.\u00a0 I provide the link here for the purposes of full disclosure no matter how the chips may fall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Follow this link to the CBO estimate sent to Senator Harry Reid on March 10,2010.
