Reich has written a column <a title=\"Robert Reich's article\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2010\/09\/03\/opinion\/03reich.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>How to End the Great Recession<\/strong><\/a> that should send the Republicans right over the edge.<\/p>\n<p>In a way, this justifies the need to redeploy the money from the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy into more productive stimulus of the economy.<\/p>\n<p>However, it will have the Republicans saying, &#8220;See, we told you they all had an evil motive.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Policies that generate more widely shared prosperity lead to stronger and more sustainable economic growth &#8212; and that\u2019s good for everyone. The rich are better off with a smaller percentage of a fast-growing economy than a larger share of an economy that\u2019s barely moving. That\u2019s the Labor Day lesson we learned decades ago; until we remember it again, we\u2019ll be stuck in the Great Recession.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The evil side of redistribution of wealth rears its ugly head.\u00a0 You see, good redistribution of wealth only goes one way according to Republicans.\u00a0 It only goes from the poor to the rich.<\/p>\n<p>What about the not so rich members of the Republican Tea Party?\u00a0 They have hopes of being rich someday, so they don&#8217;t want to go back to the days of equitable distribution.\u00a0 Based on their hope for the future, they are willing to give up their rewards in the present.\u00a0 Sounds almost religious, doesn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Robert B.
