Olbermann Misses The Boat On Palin This Time

I just love titles like the above.  It gets the anti-Olbermann internet sites directing a lot of traffic this way.

In fact it was Rachel Maddow anchoring the show tonight who flew right past the significance of Palin.

Maddow went on and on about all the lies Palin told and all her political liabilities when her guest calmly explained that this has nothing to do with facts, political ability, or running a country.

This is all about winning an election and what you have to do to win it if you are McCain. McCain will only let Palin talk to reporters that will help his campaign.  Well, Duh.  Wouldn’t he be a fool to let her talk to anyone else?

Palin drains all the energy out of any other topic in the campaign.  This focuses all the attention on the McCain campaign.  The Obama campaign  can’t even get a word in edgewise.  Wouldn’t you call that a success for McCain?

While the McCain campaign misleads the media into thinking this choice was to get the women’s vote, he is merrily attracting the male vote.  What man in this country wouldn’t want a Playboy Bunny as a vice-president?  While the media go on and on about how silly it is to think this choice will get the women’s vote, McCain has his eye on the male vote. I bet the McCain campaign gets Palin to dump the eyeglasses for contacts and gets her to wear more revealing clothes.

What better way to get the voting male excited than to talk about teen sex and pregnancy? It is not the result of pregnancy that arouses the male, but thoughts about how she got that way. When it comes to making decisions, it is not always the brain that is the most important part of the male body. (No pun intended.)

McCain’s personal history shows that he doesn’t need campaign advisers to explain this to him.  This is one thing he could figure out on his own.

Yes, this is sexist and it has been proven to work.
